1.4362 duplex stainless steel has excellent general corrosion resistance (similar to 316L), improved mechanical strength (yield strength is twice that of 304/316 grades), can reduce weight in properly designed applications, and has an operating temperature range of -50° C to 300°C, improved stress corrosion resistance compared to 304/316 grades.
