Carbon steel coil is also known as low or high carbon steel plate and stainless steel coil, characterized by complete specifications,diverse materials; High dimensional accuracy, up to ± 0.1mm;Excellent surface quality, good brightness; Strong corrosion resistance, high tensile strength and fatigue strength; Stable chemical composition, pure steel, low inclusion content, widely used in construction, shipbuilding, vehicle manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, furniture and household appliances industry, electrical and automation industry.
It is the most common form of steel because its price is relatively low while it provides material properties that are acceptable for many uses. In uses where large cross-sections are used to minimize deflection, as in large structures, failure by yield is not a risk so carbon steels are the best choice.
Carbon steel coil metal is most often used for structural purposes such as buildings, yet it has the flexibility to be worked into ornate designs. Low carbon steel coil (wrought iron) is typically used for fences, chain links, gates, and railings. Structural steel (medium carbon steel) is used in cars, refrigerators, washing machines, buildings, and bridges. The steel sheets are normally made up of medium carbon steel.
